This is the rain-flooded second floor
in one Budd building. The Budd Company built railroad
and subway cars here until they closed the plant in 2003. By 2012, the Budd
was perhaps Philadelphia's best-known abandoned complex.
Some enterprising urban explorers even led tours of the
place. You were rarely there alone, even
early on a Sunday morning. Since 2018, new owners have
pretty much sealed up the place and found tenants
for parts of it. Between May of 2012 and January of
2019, I visited the Budd 35 times taking close to 5,000
photos
