November 7, 2010, was an unseasonably warm Sunday morning at the former Naval Air Propulsion Center in West Trenton, where the Navy once tested jet engines for its war planes. The trees had not yet shed all of their leaves, and the baby's breath of a breeze wasn't about to shake many more free. It stands out in my memory as an exquisitely beautiful day.
