The George Wharton Pepper Middle School at Philadelphia's southern end is an ugly building - inside and out - that served a largely poor neighborhood. It was named for a noted Philadelphia lawyer, U. Penn professor and U.S. sneator. It opened in 1976 and closed in 2013. I managed to visit Pepper School eight times in 2018 and 2019, and took over 800 shots including these.
